Gold at the Webber U15 Silver

Thomas Morgan – Webber U15 Silver.

On the 7th October took part in the  Webber U15 Silver. I won my first two group games comfortably and I played Ryan Baker, also undefeated, for a place in the knockout rounds. I won the match in 2 games – 15-8, 15-8. The quarter final was against the number 2 seed Ethan Desouza which I won – 15-11, 15-13. The semi-final was against Joe Howells who I have played many times before. We first played against each other in the Welsh U11 Shuttle series with Joe regularly getting the upper hand. Recent matches have gone my way and I won this one in two games – 18-16, 15-6. I met Ryan Evans the 3rd seed in the final, we had played last season in Warwickshire U14 Bronze, a match I won 21-18. This final was also close with Ryan taking the first game – 16-14. I came back strongly in the second game to win 15-9 and the third went the distance but I came on top – 16-14.
