This tournament had been postponed due to heavy snow back in Nov 17 and re-scheduled for the Easter holidays.
It was a local event,so not a really early get-up. I was entered in the singles and the boys doubles.
I was in a box of four in the singles.First game was against a younger player Alexander Lamb (Bedfordshire)
he was skilful but I won 21-11.Next was Fahad Shaikh (Buckinghamshire) 21-11 to me.The last game in the box was against Jack Burke(Berkshire) he had beaten me in an U15SILVER a month earlier, this time after trailing I was victorious 21-18.
Into the knock-outs, Harvey Thompson (Avon) who I had beaten twice before, this time it was 21-12.Semi-final was against Varun Lathe (Warwickkshire), who I knew wel,l as he is at my school and I just beat him a tight game in the Warwickshire Junior County Championships last July 21-14.
The final was against Andrew Harrison(Sussex) from his results so far that day he was in good form and it proved to be.
I struggled to start with and let him get too far ahead, I managed to get close but eventually lost 25-23.
Doubles with Jeremy Kurian George (Staffordshire) a box of four teams. Joe Shackleton & Daniel Veazy (both Warwickshire) 21-5 to us. Then Pranoy Nishanth & Varun Lathe(again both Warwickkshire) a harder game but victory 21-19. The third game was against Mirzanoor Ali (Lancashire) & Jais Picariello (Kent) another close game, we saw it out 21-19.
Semi-final was against Toby Beckett (Worcestershire) and Harry Jones (Oxfordshire) yet another close game but we were outplayed and lost 21-19. So walked away with a Silver in the singles and a bronze doubles.
