Warwickshire U18 Open – Luke Davies Won 2 bronze medals.
In the mixed I partnered my regular partner Safia Khimji from Oxfordshire, and in our first round we came up against Ethan Dalley and Mia Kirk. In the first game we found ourselves 14-11 but Ethan and Mia couldn’t quite finish it and Safia and we held our nerve to comeback and win 17-15 and in the second we got off to a better start and held on to win 15-13. Next round was the quarterfinal and we found ourselves against England players and the second seeds Nathan Moore and Milly Evans. Fortunately we got off to a good start and managed to pull away to win the first 15-13, but Nathan and Milly pulled the second in a 15-10 win for them and they looked like they would win the score being 14-10 in favour of them but not to be beaten easily Safia and I battled back to win 17-15. In the semi- final we found ourselves against my partner for the day Ryan Curtis and his partner Zoe Siu and despite our best efforts they proved to good on the day and were good enough to win 15-11 15-11 which left us with the bronze.
