Here is Jonathon’s own thoughts about the competition and his experiences.
I recently entered the Gloucester Under 17 Bronze , only my second tournament of the season, I started and won my first game 21-14, my second game however after a close game I lost 21-17, bit disappointed as I felt I should have done better but made too many errors which my opponent then took advantage of, In my last game of my box I put the disappointment behind me and used it to my advantage and won 21-8. Hopefully I will learn from my mistakes and progress further next time. I also entered the boys doubles ,we won our first game 21-12, then the second by the same score of 21-12, we then faced the seeded pair but lost 21-15.The seeded pair went on to take silver in the event. I felt that if it was the best of 3 games we may have had a different result but need to take our opportunities when we have them. Plenty to work for my next tournament.
